The Port Authority of Motril on Granada province's Costa Tropical in Spain is calling for bids on a contract to improve the accessibility of the Antonio Armas passenger terminal. The contract includes the installation of an elevator, mechanical ramps and stairs next to the west façade. The project will connect the upper floor of the Port of Motril to the Levante and Costa docks, which will become the new customs control area. An eight-person-capacity elevator is planned to connect the exterior level with the access platform to the first floor. The six-month-long project is set to cost more than EUR1 million (US$1.2 million.) The deadline for applications from interested companies ends in July. Work is expected to begin once Operación Paso del Estrecho 2025 (Operation Crossing the Strait) ends on September 15.
