KONE announced on August 4 it has been selected to deliver 31 vertical-transportation (VT) units to Vista, a complex mixed-use development on London's South Bank that will "transform the former ITV Television Centre site into a vibrant destination combining offices, cultural spaces and public areas in one of London's most dynamic districts." Developed by Mitsubishi Estate London Ltd. with CO-RE and built by Multiplex Construction Europe Ltd., the development will feature two 26- and 13-story office buildings supported by a six-story podium with a large roof garden. The KONE order includes MonoSpace® 700 DX elevators, MiniSpaceTM HiRi DX double-deck elevators equipped with KONE UltraRope® technology, Transys DX goods elevators and two TravelMasterTM 110 escalators. The VT system is expected to serve approximately 5,700 daily passengers. The development is targeting net-zero carbon operation, as well as BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Platinum certifications. Construction is set to start in 2027 and be completed in 2029.
