Plans Announced for New Office Towers In Downtown Austin, Texas

Austin, Texas-based developer Cielo Property Group is planning to build two high-rise office towers on a full city block near the Austin Convention Center downtown, Austin American-Statesman reported in July. The buildings could potentially add 1.6 million ftto the office market. The company hopes to acquire a site development permit by early next year and start construction on the first tower, which will reach 50 stories and have 750,000 ftof space. Designs for this tower are underway, focusing on green building, wellness and cultural amenities. “By developing an entire city block, we can provide companies with more space, greater flexibility and unique on-site amenities that can be shared by the two buildings,” said Cielo co-founder and CEO Bobby Dillard.
