Dr. Tonino Lamborghini explains that the collaboration with Hybon grew from a shared vision of combining Italian design, technical excellence and Indian manufacturing expertise, enabling elevators to become architectural luxury experiences rather than mere utilities. Impressed by India's energy and appetite for design-led engineering, he highlights strong demand from luxury residences, premium hospitality, high-end mixed-use and landmark commercial projects. Lamborghini positions its cabins as premium lifestyle environments where materiality, spatial design and user interaction reflect Italian creativity paired with Hybon's engineering. The initial collection launches first, with several models planned and regular additions as the portfolio evolves.

Vicepresidente How was the collaboration between Lamborghini and Hybon Elevators initiated and finalized? What is its significance for Lamborghini and the elevator industry in India?

TL: The collaboration with Hybon was born from a shared vision. We were looking for a partner capable of combining technical excellence, manufacturing expertise and a deep understanding of the Indian market, while Hybon was seeking a design-led luxury partner with a strong international identity. That alignment came naturally. This partnership represents the opportunity to bring, for the first time as in my DNA, our Italian design philosophy into a new category where aesthetics, technology and user experience converge. For the Indian elevator industry, I believe it introduces a new perspective: The elevator is no longer just a functional necessity, but an integral part of the architectural and luxury experience.

Vicepresidente What were your observations and reflections during the India visit for the launch event and afterwards?

TL: India continues to impress me with its energy, ambition and speed of transformation. The launch confirmed there is genuine enthusiasm for products that combine engineering performance with a distinctive design identity. This market is entering a new phase, where luxury is increasingly defined by experience and attention to detail. This creates exciting opportunities for brands like ours.

Vicepresidente What potential or scope does Lamborghini see in India as a market for its elevators?

TL: India is one of the most dynamic markets in the world today. The rapid growth of luxury real estate, premium hospitality and branded developments is creating strong demand for products that offer differentiation and added value. I see significant potential because developers are increasingly looking for ways to elevate the customer experience throughout every touchpoint of a building. Elevators are part of that journey and can contribute meaningfully to the overall perception of quality and prestige.

VP: Which segments does Lamborghini expect to drive the greatest demand for its elevator models in India and why?

TL: We expect the strongest demand to come from luxury residential developments, premium hospitality projects, high-end mixed-use developments and landmark commercial properties. These are sectors where design, exclusivity and user experience play an increasingly important role in creating market differentiation.

VP: How would you define or describe the Lamborghini brand perception and positioning in the elevator industry?

TL: We position ourselves in the elevator industry exactly as we do in every category we enter: as a premium design and lifestyle brand that brings distinctive Italian creativity, elegance and attention to detail. My contribution is to define the design language, materials, atmosphere and emotional experience. Together with Hybon’s engineering expertise, we create elevator environments that become part of the architecture itself rather than simply a technical component of the building.

VP: What are the unique selling points or aspects that set the Lamborghini elevators in a class of their own?

TL: The key differentiator is the combination of Italian design heritage and advanced engineering. Every detail of the elevator cabin — from material selection and surface finishes to spatial design and user interaction — is carefully considered. Unlike conventional elevator interiors, these cabins are conceived as luxury architectural spaces. They are designed not only to transport people, but to enhance the overall experience of a building and reflect the aspirations of those who live, work or stay in it.

VP: Does Tonino Lamborghini envision launching more Lamborghini elevator models in India going forward? What are your future plans based on the initial feedback?

TL: Our vision is long-term. The initial collection is only the beginning of a broader journey. The current plan foresees the introduction of several models during the first phase, followed by the regular addition of new designs as the collection evolves.
