Halesowen, England, Escalator Fall Injures Woman

A woman described as “elderly” visiting the Cornbow Shopping Centre in Halesowen, England, had to be rushed to Russells Hall hospital with “potentially serious injuries” after falling down an escalator, Halesowen News reported on April 12. A Midlands Air Ambulance was summoned to transport the woman, but she was eventually taken by a street-level ambulance. A second patient, a man, was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
