KONE has won an order to outfit the mixed-use Al Mana Tower in Doha, Qatar, with vertical-transportation (VT) equipment that includes 11 MiniSpace® and six MonoSpace® elevators and four TravelMasterTM 110 escalators. The order also includes destination-control and E-Link monitoring systems. Standing 56 stories, Al Mana Tower will contain 168 residences and 117 commercial offices within 117,508 m2. Slated for completion in early 2019, it is being developed by Mohammed Hamad Al Mana with Al Bandary Engineering Trading & Contracting the main contractor. KONE Managing Director for Qatar Mark Bayyari said, “We are excited to be part of Qatar’s continued development and delighted to bring our innovation and expertise to Al Mana Tower.”
