Indian Railways Seeks Last Section Of Land For Bullet Train

Indian Railways, developer of India’s bullet train project, has acquired almost 95% of required land in Gujarat, India, but has not fully taken possession of needed land in Maharashtra, Yahoo News reported July 15, citing ANI. Briefing the media, Indian Railways Board CEO and Chairman Suneet Sharma said although needed land in Maharashtra has yet to be fully acquired, discussions are “on with the Maharashtra government. Contracts have been awarded and civil work has started.”
