Webinar to Address Compliance, Regulatory Changes

The passage of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, which has authorized COVID-19 relief funding for community development financial institutions, will bring a number of compliance and regulatory changes in 2022, and Hub International, a provider of insurance and other business-targeted solutions, will offer “Benefits Compliance & Regulatory Changes: What to Expect for 2022,” a webinar to answer business owners’ questions. Among the changes set to take effect are the broader expansion of the “Health Plan Transparency Rules” and the addition of the “No Surprises Act,” both aimed at lowering costs for group health plan participants and sponsors. Affected participants will face rule changes regarding disclosures and benefits reporting. HUB Employee Benefits Compliance Officers attending the webinar will present an overview of the 2022 changes, including transparency rule updates; what the “No Surprises Act” means for your organization; and new rules for government reporting. The webinar will take place from noon to 1 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. Those interested in viewing the event may sign up online. Participants are eligible for 1 credit of continuing education with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).
