IUEC Recognizes Veterans For Service, Sacrifice

Christensen

International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC) General President Frank J. Christensen, on behalf of the organization, recognized veterans, both past and present, for the efforts and sacrifices they have made, and still make, to help the nation maintain the rights and freedoms enjoyed by all U.S. citizens, Construction Dive reported. Speaking on Veterans Day, November 11, Christensen said the union’s more than 31,000 members honor and thank those who serve, or have served, in the U.S. military, adding that “all veterans and transitioning active-duty service members should be aware of the apprenticeship and career opportunities awaiting them, should they wish to pursue a post-military career in the union elevator industry.” He said IUEC apprenticeship training is a pathway to excellent careers for post-military men and women, which offers them wages and benefits while graduating debt-free. Christensen said IUEC, “just like the military, is a team, and I can assure you that together, we are strong and, together, we cannot and will not fail.”
