Construction Begins On Charlotte Tower

Construction of a 23-story office tower in the South End neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina, recently began, the Charlotte Observer reports. Developers out of Florida and California are teaming up to build 110 East — just off the East/West LYNX Blue Line station — that will include 370,000 ft²of office, retail and restaurant space. The US$186-million project at 110 East Boulevard will feature ground-floor retail and restaurants, a 900-space parking garage, a 4,000-ft² fitness center, conference spaces and an 11^th-floor “sky lobby” and deck. Cushman & Wakefield is the leasing firm, and Shorenstein Properties and Stiles is the developer. The East Boulevard tower was planned to start construction this past summer but the delay was design-related, with Adrienne Zalkind, of Stiles, telling the source that they’ve been working to enhance the design over the past several months. The tower is now expected to open in March 2024.
