AEG Reflects On Remarkable Growth Since 2020 Inception

NYC-headquartered American Elevator Group (AEG), the largest independent elevator service provider in North America, has experienced remarkable expansion since its inception in 2020, the company observed on February 28. Starting with Unitec Elevator in NYC, AEG rapidly added 18 businesses covering 21 states. It now services more than 27,000 elevators and has more than 1,200 employees. AEG’s growth has come with the addition of key team members and an increased focus on safety, training and giving back to communities. Safety initiatives include the introduction of mobile safety training units, the rollout of a “best-in-class” safety training program and the deployment of “Toolbox Talks” to promote ongoing learning. Its newly designed website continues to evolve and improve, says Vice President of Marketing and Communications John Curzon. In addition, AEG upgraded employee benefits packages and introduced a tuition-reimbursement program for all employees. In terms of giving back, the company donated to 17 nonprofits in support of #GivingTuesday in November 2021 and, in conjunction with Eastern Elevator Co., made a generous donation to the Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Police Department to hire a new K-9 officer and purchase the department’s first-ever comfort dog.
