Façade installation is continuing at 77-87 Commercial Street, which consists of 40- and 30-story towers containing 222 mostly affordable residential units along Newtown Creek in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NYC, New York YIMBY reported in February. Otis told ELEVATOR WORLD the development, designed by CetraRuddy and developed by Clipper Equity, is served by nine elevators: three SkyRise®, five Gen2® and one third-party unit. The 811,000-ft2property will also have a 300-vehicle parking garage. The general contractor is Ray Builders Inc., the façade consultant is Hatfield Group, and WSP is structural engineer. RC Structures is pouring the concrete, with both structures passing the halfway point in February and the podium already enclosed in bronze paneling. The project is slated for completion in 2023.
