The elevator project for the Rahr-West Art Museum at the historic Villas-Rahr mansion in Wisconsin is close to being completed, Seehafer News reports. Leaders of the museum have been trying to get an elevator installed for the past three years, but the pandemic and subsequent supply issues have caused delays. Officials estimate that the elevator project will be complete in October. The majority of the funding came from a federal Community Development Block Grant. The elevator will provide access to the second floor of the mansion, and officials are discussing several plans for what to do with the second floor, including showcasing some of the thousands of pieces of art that the public has never had access to.
