Luxury Hotel Latest to Stake Claim in Tokyo Supertall Torch

A luxury hotel operated by Dorchester Collection, which has high-end hotels in London, Los Angeles and Paris, is the latest to announce plans to occupy a portion of the 390-m-tall, 62-story supertall Torch Tower in Tokyo, Japan Property Central reports. Torch Tower is part of Mitsubishi Estate and Tokyo Century Corp.’s Tokyo Torch project, which includes the 212-m, 38-story Tokiwabashi Tower completed in 2021 and Torch Tower, slated to become Japan’s tallest building upon completion in 2029. Earlier this year, Mitsubishi Estate announced that approximately 50 luxury apartments would occupy the 59th and 60th floors. The hotel plans to occupy 21,400-m2 on floors 53-58 with 110 rooms, a pool, a spa, a gym and a lobby.
