Aria Development Group and Merrimac Ventures envision a 32-story, 600-unit condominium tower at 33-55 Northwest Sixth Street, part of the US$4-billion master planned mixed-use Miami Worldcenter community, The Real Deal reports. The developers bought the former International Longshoremen’s Association Miami headquarters for US$17.5 million, as well as an adjacent site from Miami Worldcenter master developers for US$6.5 million. A construction timeframe was not provided but, if the latest condo tower is built, it will have lots of company: Merrimac teamed with The Related Group to build a 33-story, 450-unit condo building at 601 North Miami Avenue called The Crosby, WeWork cofounder Adam Neuman landed a US$108 million construction loan for a site approved for a 40-story condo tower at 697 Miami Avenue and New York-based developer Naftali Group plans a two-tower residential project at 1016 Northeast Second Avenue. All tower plans are within the Miami Worldcenter community.
