The Canadian Elevator Contractors Association (CECA) 1939 Club, focusing on CECA members between the ages of 19 and 39, plans to host a meeting on June 14 from 5-6 p.m. at the Halifax Convention Centre Room 109 during the CECA 2023 Convention in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Sponsored by Jemcor Elevating Inc., the event follows the golf tournament and education and is scheduled just prior to the President’s Reception. It will be broken into two parts: a formal meeting to review the past year, discuss contributions the club has made to CECA’s scholarship program and area colleges and explore future events and objectives; and a half-hour social, networking session at which games like cornhole and non-alcoholic drinks will be available. The 1939 Club is open to anyone who would like to learn about or support the club and is chaired by Phil Staite, who may be contacted at email for any questions about the club or the upcoming meeting.
