In Memoriam: Carl Strychaluk

Strychaluk

Carl Strychaluk, co-founder of Mississauga, Ontario-headquartered MAD Elevator Inc. and past board member of the Canadian Elevator Contractors Association (CECA) passed away unexpectedly on June 7 as the result of an auto accident, MAD and CECA announced. Survivors include his wife, Angela; children, Quinn, Paige and Chase; brother, Eric; and many other family members, friends and colleagues. MAD said it is fully committed to ensuring a seamless transition in light of the tragic event. The company described Strychaluk as the face and integral part of the business, continuing: “Whether he was donning his signature flipflops and Hawaiian shirts, his presence was always felt during our journey of growth in size and products. His unconventional-yet-effective methods left a lasting impression on all who crossed paths with him. Without Carl, we would not be the MAD we are today.”
