Members of Otis Elevator Co.’s executive management team collaborated with more than 100 students at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford (Connecticut) on November 15 to build circuitry and robots to support Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) learning. Farmington, Connecticut-headquartered Otis also committed another US$50,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs to support STEM. Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford President and CEO Sam Gray said the organization is grateful for Otis’ support of STEM which, along with STEAM (which includes an arts component) “is one of our main program pillars…that engages and excites kids to learn more about STEM and ensure they are prepared for the great futures ahead of them.” Otis President and CEO Judy Marks said the company is honored to provide students with the “tools to understand how they can dramatically impact the world around them.”
