Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan Baymyrat Annamammedov said during a June 22 meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers that facilities for both producing and repairing elevators will be set up in the Central Asian country, Trend News Agency reports. Residential buildings and other modern structures are being built, and they will need elevators, he observed. The deputy chairman also provided a step-by-step overview of the measures being taken by Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Industry and Construction to further its import-substitution policy. “As a result of the work carried out by the Ministry, proposals have been received to create a joint venture, and an analysis of the relevant technical characteristics is currently being carried out,” Annamammedov said.
