Huasheng Fujitec Elevator Wins NY Product Design Award

HUASHENG FUJITEC Elevator Co., Ltd., the Shanghai-based production arm of Fujitec, received the Silver Winner Award for the DF-f destination floor registration unit in the 2024 NY Product Design Awards, a worldwide design competition honoring product designers, design teams and manufacturers, Fujitec announced on November 15. Recognized in the Industrial Equipment, Machinery & Automation — Control Systems category, DF-f follows universal design concepts, including an LCD touchscreen, card reader and artificial voice announcement system that consider the use of elevators by elderly people, wheelchair users and optically challenged individuals. The unit’s synchronization of a vanishing sensing light with activation of the LCD screen reduces electrical energy consumption by 20% compared to conventional destination floor registration units. The amount of CO₂ emitted by the unit is also reduced, making it eco-friendly.
