G-Tech Provides Elevators for New Brooklyn Tower

Linden, New Jersey-headquartered G-Tech Elevator Associates LLC tells ELEVATOR WORLD it provided two elevators for 655 Union Street, a 13-story residential tower recently completed in Gowanus, Brooklyn, NY. The building is served by two machine-room-less traction elevators traveling at 350 ft/min. One has 3500-lb capacity traveling 14 floors (including a cellar level) with 14 front and 13 rear openings, and the other, 2100-lb with 13 front openings. The elevators have BTS Elevator Package packages along with GAL door equipment paired with Elevator Controls Pixel Controllers and Imperial machines. Designed by L+Z Architecture and developed by Avery Hall and Gindi Capital, the 200,000-ftstructure features a charcoal-colored façade, a landscaped rooftop terrace, a pool and ground-level retail, according to New York YIMBY. There will be 193 rental units.
