New Management Will Be in Charge for Three Years

Turkey Elevator Industrialists Federation’s (TASFED) fifth Ordinary General Assembly met at the meeting room of the federation’s headquarter on Saturday, June 26. With the amendment of the charter, the management, which will be in charge of “ASFED” with its “Turkey” inscription in its title, has been elected for three years.

ASFED, which was entitled to use the inscription “Turkey” in its name last year, held its new assembly under the name TASFED at the meeting room of the federation’s headquarters in Ankara Ostim. After electing the council to moderate the session, Gülay Pala, general secretary of the Federation, read the activity report. Main titles of the report were:

  • Adding the “Turkey” inscription to the federation’s name and rebranding it as Turkey Elevator Industrialists Federation – TASFED.
  • Studies performed concerning the course of COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Visits to Mustafa Varank, the Minister of Industry and Technology, and Hasan Büyükdede, the deputy minister.
  • The workshop on TS EN 81-28 + AC
  • ASFED Academy openings in Ankara and Eskişehir.
  • Training of the teachers in vocational high schools. Following the activity report, the financial reports were read by the Financial Advisor Ali Yılmaz and voted on.

Board of Director’s Term of Office will be Three Years

The previous general assemblies were held biennially, and the elected managements were in charge for two years. With the amendment of the charter, discussed and agreed to at the fifth Ordinary General Assembly, the new management will be in charge for three years. As the number of associations affiliated to TASFED, which currently contains 17 elevator and escalator associations, increased and more associations were involved in decisions, the number of board members was also increased to 15.

Yusuf Atik was reelected as the President

The new Board of Directors, which was elected unanimously for three years, consists of Yusuf Atik (President), Nuri Kuzan, Hüsnü Gökgöz, İbrahim Özçakır, Ahmet Fikret Gökhan, Mustafa Uçar, Nermin Boyacıoğlu, Özcan Toprak, Zafer Karabay, Servet Karabacak, Cem Bozdağ, Muammer Ödemiş, Atila Verim, Fatih Kunduracı and Remzi Arslan and will be in charge for the next three years.

At the Wishes and Requests session, member associations were asked for participation in the Eurasia Lift Fair, supported by TASFED and TASIAD, organized by CNR Holding and which will be held at CNR Expo Istanbul Expo Center on September 1-3.
