The Elevator and Escalator Industrialists Association (AYSAD) held its 2025 Ordinary General Assembly on May 29 at the Machine Hangar Engineering and Technology Center Conference Hall in Kartal, Istanbul.

The General Assembly began with a welcome speech by AYSAD Communications Consultant Turhan Korkmaz. AYSAD Honorary Member İzzet Güven was elected as the chairman of the Assembly, and Berk Özbelli and Serkan Selamet were elected as the Assembly secretaries.
At the invitation of Güven, a moment of silence was observed for Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms. The agenda items were then discussed. AYSAD Board of Directors President Fevzi Yıldırım took the stage and thanked the members in attendance for their participation. He then invited AYSAD General Secretary Harun Şimşek to present the activities of AYSAD for the period June 2024 – May 2025. After Şimşek shared the activities carried out by AYSAD during this period, Yıldırım and Savaşal Sayın, AYSAD vice president and European Lift Association (ELA) Board member, took the stage in turn. Yıldırım shared the elevator export and import figures obtained from the Machine Exporters’ Association (MAİB) and emphasized the importance of this information. The presentation on the work of ELA, of which they are members, and developments in Europe and the world also attracted attention. He stated that AYSAD should make good use of these channels and that this is possible through the Turkish Machinery Federation (MAKFED) and ELA. Sayın also mentioned the work of the committees at ELA and said that AYSAD is represented in several committees. He added that AYSAD should also be part of the Legislation Committee.
Following the presentation of activities, the report prepared by the AYSAD Audit Committee on the financial situation and activities of the previous period was presented to the participants by Committee Member Seyfullah Köksal.
Güven submitted both the previous term’s activity report and the audit report to the General Assembly for a vote, and both reports were accepted unanimously.
During the break, a short tour was conducted of the Machine Hangar AYSAD Management and Training Center where AYSAD moved at the end of April.
After the break, the General Assembly continued with the reading of the estimated budget for the next term on the agenda. The budget presented by AYSAD Treasurer Rıza Latif was unanimously approved.
Finally, the proposed amendments to the AYSAD main statute were presented by Şimşek. The proposed amendments were unanimously approved.
In the final section of the General Assembly, the chairman of the Board invited those who wished to speak to take the floor for requests and suggestions. In order, former AYSAD President Sefa Targıt, Can-Lift representative Nuri Yılmaz, Nafiz Çavdar, Ali Osman Özdilek, Güven and Yıldırım took the floor and expressed their suggestions for AYSAD’s work in the coming period.
Following the wishes and recommendations, Güven thanked the participating members and closed the General Assembly. After the closing, the members took a group photo.
