Innovations from Europe and North America
Traction Belts
Megadyne Group, headquartered in Italy with a distribution network throughout North America and beyond, offers the MEGALINEAR P3.3 range of traction belts designed to exceed the expectations of modern elevator systems. This line of traction belts “pushes performance to new levels while addressing common challenges,” according to Megadyne, offering a smoother, quieter and safer passenger experience and a more efficient, durable system for manufacturers and operators. Specifically developed for the elevator industry, the MEGALINEAR P3.3 range is available in many variations to meet different requirements. These include:
- MEGALINEAR P3.3 flame retardant (FR): Engineered for applications requiring enhanced fire safety without compromising performance
- MEGALINEAR P3.3 light: A smart, efficient and cost-effective option for elevators with lower load demands. By leveraging the widespread availability of 30-mm belts, it reduces unnecessary costs while maintaining compatibility with existing systems.
- MEGALINEAR P3.3 standard widths (mm): Available from 25 mm to 60 mm and with load capacities up to 104 kN. The range offers the flexibility to accommodate a wide variety of applications.
All belts within the P3.3 family are EN 81-20/EN 81-50 code compliant. Both standard and FR versions are ASME 17.1 certified for the U.S. market. The FR range also has an ASME 17.1 FT1 rating.
The MEGALINEAR P3.3 range is a complete solution designed to reduce total cost of ownership. It can manage idler pulleys down to 80 mm and offers an extended lifespan of up to 15 years. Its durability has been proven through extensive in-house testing, showing higher bending lifetime and breaking strength compared to alternative solutions. MEGALINEAR P3.3 boasts performance across different environments, from cold to hot temperatures, delivering consistent reliability — a critical feature in both residential and commercial buildings across global markets.
Intelligent Sensor System
TRI-TRONICS® introduces 3D Fusion, its latest elevator sensor innovation built to enhance door safety, improve ride flow and conform to ASME A17.1-2010 safety code. The intelligent system pairs TRI-TRONICS’ reliable LeadingEDGE 2D light curtain with advanced 3D Time of Flight sensing. The system is designed to detect someone approaching the cab, keeping doors open when needed and closed when not. 3D Fusion is compatible with center- and side-parting doors. It is built for rugged environments, installs easily and meets ASME, CSA, Computer Science and Federal Communications Commission safety standards. Designed and assembled in Florida, 3D Fusion reflects TRI-TRONICS’ commitment to performance, reliability and more intelligent sensing solutions.
