Dallas Skyscraper Campus Would Include City’s Tallest

A 20-acre skyscraper campus being planned in downtown Dallas includes an office building that, at 73 stories, would be the tallest in the city, The Dallas Morning News reported. KDC, the developer behind the US$3-billion Legacy West development in nearby Plano (ELEVATOR WORLD, October 2017), is partnering with landowner Hoque Global on this latest project, dubbed Dallas Smart District. Between City Hall and Interstate 30, the eight-block development would replace parking lots and old buildings with office, retail and hotel space designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli. Drawings show more than six high-rise buildings, along with green space. The first phase would include up to 1 million sq. ft. of office space, a grocery store and a boutique hotel.
