New Line of Non-Sparking Tools

DENIOS now offers a new line of non-sparking tools that brings vital safety and reliability to chemical plants, grain silos and other locations with higher risk of fire or explosion. Crafted from high-quality, non-ferrous materials including aluminum bronze, phosphor bronze and brass, beryllium copper or copper nickel metals, they are designed to prevent spark generation, making them ideal for areas where flammable vapors, gases or dust are present. A full lineup of Factory Mutual-approved tools that meet OSHA standards is available, ensuring compliance while protecting workers and facilities. Wrenches and screwdrivers, brushes and scrapers, hammers, pliers, crowbars and an assortment of kits are available to cover a wide range of applications and industries, including oil and gas, chemical processing, mining, grain handling, manufacturing, utilities, emergency response, the military and more.

Working with steel tools can generate sparks, which can ignite gas-air mixtures leading to explosions. In areas where such mixtures are present, flammable sparks can be catastrophic and must be strictly avoided. Non-sparking tools are designed to prevent spark generation during use, making them essential for performing maintenance, repairs and operations in environments with flammable vapors, gases or dust. Non-sparking tools help avoid accidental ignitions, reducing harmful injuries and disasters that can result in costly interruptions to workflow.

Safety tools made from special alloys offer a critical safeguard for working confidently in hazardous environments. The DENIOS line includes tools for a wide selection and variety of types, from standard designs to specialized tools. Corrosionresistant tools suited for harsh environments, as well as confined spaces and underwater applications, are available, as are non-magnetic versions, which are appropriate for MRI or magnetic environments. denios.com

Versatile VRC

PFlow Industries, the vertical reciprocating conveyor (VRC) pioneer headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, showcases its 21 Series Hydraulic Vertical Lift, a versatile VRC that improves efficiency and prioritizes worker safety. The 21 Series can convey a wide range of materials, including palletized goods, with a vertical rise capacity of up to 22 ft and a load capacity of up to 6000 lb. It has a carriage size of up to 12 ft X 10 ft and a standard travel speed of 25 ft/min with options for speeds of up to 30 ft/min. The durable construction of the two-post design is supported by a lifetime structural warranty. Each unit is customized to fit a given space and lift application needs. The 21 Series features a carriage that is lifted by a chain over sprocket and actuated by guide column-mounted hydraulic cylinders. Transmission of the lifting force is through a roller chain attached to the cylinders and carriage. A torsion bar links the two cylinders to ensure both move at the same speed to equalize the load and ensure the carriage remains level at all times. Additionally, the option for quickconnect cabling for push-button stations, motor pump and gate interlocks significantly reduce field wiring costs. For enhanced durability in outdoor or washdown environments, customers can opt for the hot-dipped galvanized or epoxy finish. Each ASME B20.1 code-compliant 21 Series VRC boasts advanced safety features like certified safety cams, pressure switches, velocity fuses and check valves to ensure secure operations. pflow.com

Copper Phone Line Replacement

The POTS Box, a future-ready POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) line replacement solution, officially launched in June. The POTS Box offers a scalable, flexible alternative for industries that rely on analog systems, including fire alarms, elevator phones, fax lines, ATMs and more. The new POTS solution will keep critical communication systems online by using a plug-and-play solution that works across LTE, Ethernet or fiber networks. The Federal Communications Commission’s Order 19-72A1, released on August 2, 2019, mandates that all traditional copper POTS lines be replaced by alternative technologies. The POTS Box’s durable solution ensures compliance and continuity for essential systems. The POTS Box is available as a white-label solution that empowers telecom providers, Voice over Internet Protocol companies and managed service providers (MSPs), alarm and elevator companies to add a reliable and future-proof POTS replacement to their offerings. The POTS Box meets the demand for a simple, secure transition away from copper lines.

Key features include:
♦ Compatibility with legacy analog systems (fire, fax, elevator, POS, etc.)
♦ Multiple connectivity options (LTE, Ethernet, fiber)
♦ Battery backup for power outages
♦ Turnkey support for partners, including hardware, comprehensive portal, training and tech support
