The export giants of the Turkish Elevator Industry have been declared in the latest issue of ‘Büyüme Makinesi,’ the bulletin, which includes export data, published by the Machinery Exporters’ Association.
Turkey achieved a faster increase than all its competitors in the years when global machinery exports increased, while it showed a decline limited to less than all its competitors in 2020 during global trade contraction. The industry landed on both feet, thanks to its high level of technology and competitive prices, and did not experience a serious loss in markets like Germany, USA and England, where machinery investments decreased by billions of dollars in closing periods and proved to be an essential manufacturer.
155 companies were awarded by Turkey’s Machinery Exporters’ Association, including five companies in each category with the highest machinery export volumes, and the members who achieved the highest increase in 2020 and in the last five years.
Last year, 132 companies on the list realized 20 percent of Turkey’s 18.5 billion dollars of machinery exports, including free zones. Six companies in Turkey’s Machinery Exporters list are members of MAİB Board of Directors.
Machinery Exporters’ Association provided information about the industry under the title “Elevators and Their Components” in the latest issues of the bulletin, whereas the same data was given under the title “Lifting, Transportation and Piling Machines and Their Components” in the previous issues. Based on the latest data, the companies with the greatest export figures in the last year were Haspar Asansör (Bursa), Buga Otis (İstanbul), Mesan Asansör (İstanbul), Mars Elevator (Ankara) and Ah-Met Asansör (Konya).
