KONE has won an order to provide eight MonoSpace® and 18 MiniSpace® elevators to Star Residences, a mixed-use development in Kuala Lumpur consisting of three 58-story residential towers and a retail/entertainment hub. Located in the Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC), Star Residences will have a trio of skyparks overlooking the Petronas Towers. Completion is anticipated in 2019. The developer is Alpine Return Sdn Bhd, a joint venture of Symphony Life Berhad and United Malayan Land Berhad.

TransitMaster® escalators, which reduce energy consumption and oil use, will replace older units, and a real-time remote-monitoring system will be installed. Work is expected to start in April 2017 and be complete in mid 2018.
