This Product Spotlight looks at an evolved version of a previous door drive.
In the last eight years, Zagro AG, together with Computec S.r.l., has developed the Computec Door Drive 6 (CDD6), including a new handset, app and CANopen. This is a general-purpose door drive and is an evolved version of the previous door drive, CDD5. Some additional features are implemented, such as the addition of Wi-Fi and new motor control with the ability to drive multiple motors together. CDD6 is able to drive DC brushed and brushless motors up to 40 V with or without encoder feedback.
Parallel to this, the IP54 protected Dunker motors and SIBONI 1Nm and 2Nm DC motor with encoder were launched. The CDD6 supports the regulatory requirements of both EN 81-20, as well as EN 81-1 (selectable via the software settings).
The company offers adapter kits, compatibility replacement kits for other door drive types and replacement/modernization sets.
