LIFTEX Gears Up

European lift industry gets ready for 2022 event.

by LIFTEX

Now in its 34th year, LIFTEX 2022 will take place at London’s ExCeL on October 12-13 and promises to be the “biggest yet.”

“We are now officially sold out,” said Oliver Greening, LIFTEX show director, who went on to say:

“Our last stand-sold in June, which is phenomenal. We have already extended the floorplan once to accommodate the demand. Every edition, we aim to bring together leading industry players and offer guidance and insights on key topics. On top of that, this year is set to be a celebration of the industry coming together after the last difficult few years.”

Free Seminar Program

Free seminars will offer the latest guidance and advice on hot industry topics covering standards, evacuation lifts, digital telephone lines, checks and inspections of lifts for use by firefighters, UKCA Marking and The London Plan & Evacuation Lifts. On both days a panel Q&A session will round off the seminars.

Confirmed sessions include:

  • The impact of digital telephone lines on lift alarms: Matthew Davies, European Lift Association TELCO Working Group.
  • Evacuation lifts, fire and disabled people: Nick Mellor, Lift and Escalator Industry Association (LEIA).
  • Lifts for use of the fire and rescue service: Matthew Canham, National Fire Chiefs Council, Protection Policy and Reform Unit (PPRU) Building Safety Programme (BSP).

UKCA: product compliance and marking post-Brexit: Paul Clifton, LEIA Quality & Technical Committee.
