SSP: What is the strategic importance of Epic Elevators’ latest manufacturing facility in Ahmedabad?

HB: Our new manufacturing facility in Ahmedabad is a game-changer for Epic Elevators. It boosts our production capacity, allowing us to deliver products faster and handle increased demand. This move showcases our dedication to quality and innovation, ensuring we stay ahead in the competitive vertical-transportation (VT) market.

SSP: How many production units are currently operational, and what advantages does this facility provide in terms of increasing the company’s capability to deliver certain products within a particular time frame?

HB: The facility features multiple operational production units, each designed to optimize efficiency and precision. This setup allows Epic Elevators to accelerate production timelines, ensuring timely delivery of customized solutions. The enhanced capacity supports our ability to meet specific project deadlines, bolstering our reputation for reliability and performance.

SSP: How will the new facility impact the VT market to which you cater? Do you feel that this new manufacturing unit will facilitate the ongoing process?

HB: Our new facility will elevate the VT market by setting higher standards for quality and efficiency, allowing us to meet diverse customer needs with innovative solutions. This expansion solidifies our market leadership and sharpens our competitive edge. The manufacturing unit seamlessly integrates with our existing processes, boosting overall productivity. It aligns perfectly with our mission to provide superior, cost-effective solutions, ensuring we consistently exceed client expectations.

SSP: What is the role of customization within the VT industry? What are some unique customization requests the company has received?

HB: In the VT industry, customization is essential for meeting specific client needs and enhancing the user experience. At Epic Elevators, we’ve catered to various unique requests. For instance, at the luxury residential project Aravalli by Ratnaakar in Ahmedabad, we provided elevators with bespoke cabin designs to match the opulent interiors. In commercial installations like the BMW Showroom in Ahmedabad, we integrated advanced security features and sleek finishes to align with the brand’s premium image. Additionally, in high-traffic areas, including the La Cera Mall in Mumbai, we installed high-capacity elevators with rapid performance capabilities to manage the flow of visitors efficiently. These tailored solutions not only meet functional requirements, but also enhance the overall aesthetic and operational efficiency of the spaces we serve.

SSP: What are your views on the advancement of technology in the VT sector? What kind of innovations do you foresee on the horizon?

HB: The advancement of technology in the VT sector is truly exciting. It is transforming elevators to be smarter, more efficient and safer. I envision AI-driven, predictive-maintenance, energy-efficient systems and Internet of Things integration becoming the norm. These innovations will make elevators more reliable, provide real-time data and enhance safety features. The future holds smarter elevators that communicate with building systems to offer a seamless user experience. Technology is driving continuous improvements, and the possibilities are endless.

SSP: Due to increasing space constraints in metropolitan cities, do you anticipate a rise in demand for space-saving elevators?

HB: Absolutely. As major cities become more crowded, demand for space-saving solutions will definitely rise. Space-saving elevators, which maximize efficiency and functionality in smaller footprints, will become increasingly popular. These innovative designs will help address the challenges of urban living, providing essential VT without compromising on space or performance. The future will see a growing need for these compact and efficient elevator solutions in densely populated areas.

SSP: What kind of technologies does your company employ to ensure these compact elevators maintain the highest standards of safety and quality?

HB: At Epic Elevators, we leverage cutting-edge technologies to ensure our compact elevators meet the highest safety and quality standards. For instance, our elevators use machine-room-less (MRL) belt technology, which enhances safety and efficiency by reducing mechanical parts and improving ride comfort. Additionally, our EPICube control panels offer a compact yet highly functional solution, ensuring seamless integration and reliable performance. These innovations, combined with our advanced safety systems, guarantee the utmost reliability and quality in every elevator we produce.

SSP: In which particular types of elevators does your company specialize? Which specifications enable them to remain competitive in the VT market?

HB: Epic Elevators specializes in a variety of elevator types, including MRL elevators, home lifts and capsule lifts. Our MRL elevators utilize belt technology for enhanced safety and efficiency, eliminating the need for a machine room and providing a smoother ride. Our home lifts are compact and customizable, offering convenience and style for residential spaces. Capsule lifts feature panoramic views and aesthetic appeal, making them ideal for commercial buildings. These specifications, combined with our commitment to innovation and quality, keep us competitive in the VT market.

SSP: In which ways can the energy consumption of elevators be minimized to a greater extent? Is your company involved in implementing energy-saving measures through your installations?

HB: Energy consumption in elevators can be significantly reduced by implementing various technologies and practices. At Epic Elevators, we utilize MRL technology, which reduces energy use by eliminating the need for a separate machine room. Our elevators also feature energy-efficient motors and LED lighting, further minimizing power consumption. Additionally, we incorporate regenerative drives that recycle energy back into the building’s power grid. These innovations ensure our installations are both environmentally friendly and cost-effective, supporting our commitment to sustainability and efficiency.
