Durandet Named Managing Director of Wittur Europe
Wittur has named Geoffroy Durandet managing director of Europe. In this role, he is responsible for European Sales and Operations and for driving Wittur growth across the continent. Prior to joining Wittur, Durandet held various senior positions with Otis, including managing director in Luxembourg, Canada, the U.K., Ireland and central Europe. Most recently, he was managing director of Otis France. Durandet holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from Central-Supélec in France and an MBA from Harvard School of Business in the U.S.
Stembridge Appointed Avire Technical Director
Michael Stembridge has taken over the role of Avire technical director from Karl Westhead, who has transitioned to fellow Halma company Apollo Fire Detectors. Stembridge will oversee product development for Avire globally. With 25 years’ experience with major defense and communications companies, Stembridge holds a first-class honors degree in Electronic Engineering from Bolton University in the U.K
Bothwell Named EHC Global Vice President of Sales
Patrick R. Bothwell has been named vice president of sales for EHC Global. Based in Oshawa, Canada, he is responsible for managing key global accounts and relationships with distribution partners, as well as identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities. Bothwell has been employed by EHC Global since 1997, previously serving as sales manager for the Asia-Pacific and director of EHC Japan, based in Yokohama, Japan. Fluent in Japanese, he helped guide international growth, including an expanded Japanese presence through a licensing agreement with Hitachi Cable and additional licensing and distribution agreements in South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia and India.
Bothwell holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Canada, and has completed advanced studies at the University of Toronto’s Joseph L. Rotman School of Management. He is a part of numerous industry organizations and serves on the ASME A17 Escalator and Moving Walk Committee. EHC Global President and CEO Jeno Eppel observed:

AL Hires Williamson as Construction Director
After serving as Operations Development manager at London-based Amalgamated Lifts (AL) since 2014, Daniel Williamson has been named construction director, joining Simon Smith and John Brand on the board and leading the New Installations and Major Works departments. Williamson was formerly Major Modernization Sales manager at Schindler and commercial director at Global Lift Equipment. He holds a degree in International Business, French and Spanish from Aston Business School in Birmingham, U.K. AL observed:
“With retiring founding Director Peter Edler leaving this department, it was a logical appointment and testament to Williamson’s hard work, commitment, impressive knowledge and skillset that he is an ideal fit.”
