Team Virgo has been proudly serving the elevator sector since 2007, launching dedicated trade fairs, technical forums, publications, virtual events, webinars and other initiatives in India, as well as in additional emerging international markets like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and South Africa. Responding to popular demand from vertical-transportation (VT) industry members, we are humbled and excited to present yet another pioneering initiative, Smart Lift and Mobility World 2024. An integrated event for “Building Access and People Flow” comprising dedicated Expo-Conference-Awards, it will be held from February 29-March 2, 2024 at Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre, Bengaluru, India.

This unique event will showcase technological advancement, digital transformation and integration in sync with the updated time and trends. The Indian elevator industry is our extended family, a relationship that goes beyond business, and we are extremely happy to be once again presenting a concept that is new-age and contemporary in nature.

Smart Lift and Mobility World 2024 will focus on accessibility, inclusivity and sustainability. The new offering by Virgo has been conceptualized to showcase the latest products and technology, starting from entrance control systems, passenger elevators and escalators, home lifts, mobility solutions, parking systems and components.

The building access and people flow management industry has come a long way and evolved, with advanced intelligent and smart technology driving it in the last decade. With intelligent buildings on the rise, having “smart” homes, offices, hospitality, shopping, leisure and even parking spaces is rapidly becoming a given. The resultant digital transformation has brought enormous innovation and integration of various systems, making access and people flow management a seamless experience and setting trends in the way people move in buildings.

Smart Lift and Mobility World 2024 will be hosted in Bangalore, also known as the Silicon Valley of India, and one of the key business hubs of South India. It will be yet another path-breaking event that will create new opportunities for the VT industry to connect and converse with their buyers and other stakeholders about their latest offering and possibilities. The emphasis will be on highlighting technological and digital advancement, as well as its integration within real estate projects at the initial stage.

The event launch month coincided with the touchdown of the world’s largest passenger plane, the Airbus A380, at Kempegowda International Airport. The introduction of such an iconic aircraft reiterated Bangalore’s status, making it an ideal city for an impressive trade fair debut. The new show’s theme also reflects the inauguration of the T2 terminal of Bangalore International airport, one of the largest in India. The futuristic and tech-savvy nature of the airport underlines the need for a befitting expo that highlights the latest, new-age developments in the VT industry, along with the fact that large infrastructure projects are now among the key demand drivers for integrated VT-related access and mobility solutions in this country.

Virgo has been associated with the VT industry for more than one-and-a-half decades, fostering a close-knit community connection, interacting with elevator and escalator industry representatives from across the globe, exploring new markets and business partnerships and creating much-needed knowledge forums. This new event represents yet another thoughtful initiative by Virgo that will help the VT industry and its players showcase future-ready offerings to a specified target audience.
