Countdown for the 17th International Lift Exhibition “Asansör Istanbul,” organized by Tarsus Turkey with the support of AYSAD (Elevator and Escalator Industrialists Association), will take place March 10-13, 2022, at Tüyap Beylikdüzü.

This year, approximately 400 companies will exhibit at Asansör Istanbul, which is one of the biggest exhibitions of the elevator industry. Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Commerce Procurement Committee and Overseas Buyer program, 30 thousand buyers, including 6 thousand buyers from abroad, will visit the exhibition. The four-day event is expected to bring a volume of US$500 million.

Asansör Istanbul 2022 will showcase new machinery, equipment and technology from residential and commercial building elevators to hospital elevators, from in-house elevators and personal carriers to auto elevators, and from freight and service elevators to accessible elevators.

Turkey is the Shining Star of the World Trade

Considering the exhibition that will be held after a break of three years, Zekeriya Aytemur, general manager of Tarsus Turkey, said, “Located at the center of a wide commerce network, including the Balkans, Caucasus, Middle East and North Africa, Turkey is still the shining star of the world, trade thanks to its geographical location, logistics, quality production potential and cost advantage. The exhibition, which will be organized for the 17th time in Istanbul, is also the center of the elevator industry.” Aytemur also underlined that Asansör Istanbul will offer export opportunities and purchase requests to its exhibitors.

One Out Of Five Professionals from Abroad

Zekeriya Aytemur stated that Turkish Elevator and Escalator Industry, which has an average annual volume of US$1-1.5 billion, set its course abroad in order to get ahead of the game within the reshaping supply chain. He added that the support of the Ministry of Commerce Procurement Committee and the Overseas Buyer program will accelerate the export activities of the industry. Aytemur gave information about the Overseas Buyer program and said, “At the latest exhibition held in 2019, we hosted thousands of visitors, mainly from Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Russia, Ukraine, Morocco and Italy. The Overseas Buyer program will be implemented for 2022 Asansör Istanbul, with a 20% rate of foreign visitors. With the help of this program, we will invite big buyers of the elevator and escalator industry and help them meet directly with the exhibitors.  By this means, we promote increasing the number of our international buyers and the trade volume of the exhibition.”
