Dear Elavator World Türkiye readers,
The agenda is changing at a dizzying pace in our country and worldwide. Customs wars in the United States are disrupting international markets while the extraordinary domestic agenda and the uncertainty it brings are eroding our country’s foreign exchange reserves. However, these developments in the US create an opportunity for the industrialists in our country. The huge customs duties imposed on China and the additional taxes imposed on EU countries have brought the US market a quite competitive and attractive position for our country’s industrialists. However, the majority of our manufacturers are not yet at a level that can appeal to this market, both in terms of products and documents. We need to take very fast action in this context. We have tried to mention these opportunities in this issue.
In Konya, the shining star of our country’s industry and lift industry, a panel titled “The Place of Konya Lift Industry in Türkiye” was organized by MMO Konya Branch and EMO Ankara Branch Konya Provincial Representation on April 19, 2025.
We had an interview with Cenk Ceylan, the CEO of our country’s valuable brand ARKEL, a brand which was sold to Innovalift from Mediterra at the end of last year, was born in Türkiye, and managed to become a world brand in a short time.
With the advancements in technology, great changes have occurred in lift controls and communication systems. Nowadays, issues such as remote connection, monitoring, and preventive maintenance have evolved to the point where they are indispensable for control systems. Therefore, we have talked about lift control systems in this issue. In this regard, Mitsubishi Elevator with the article “Control System Renewal: Meeting Different Needs”, Kurt Schieszer with the article “Emergency Communication for All: Enhancing Elevator Emergency Communication Systems by Incorporating AI-Powered Language Translation and Accessibility Technologies”, Meysam Talebi with the article “Application of Fuzzy-Enhanced Reinforcement Learning in Artificial Intelligence for Elevator Group Control”, and Nurullah Pireci with the article “Digital Maintenance and Field Usage of Devices in Compliance with 81-28 Standard” made valuable contributions to this issue.
We conducted an interview with Mustafa Uçar, Founding Partner and General Manager of Integra Asansör, which marked its 11th year with full success in the lift electricity component supply.

Our documentary series “Respect to the Masters”, which was launched by the Elevator Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (TASİAD) and produced by Ajanslift, also starts with this issue. The first guest of the series was the late Ali Aktaş, who passed away last year.
