A new puzzle game is about to be every elevator industry member’s favorite way to relax after a long day of vertical-transportation (VT) work. While the day-to-day tasks of VT industry members might not always entail seeing their work make a positive impact in people’s lives, a new mobile game allows players to enjoy the satisfyingly calming side of elevators. Mobile game developer Napping Raccoon recently released Going Up. For US$1.99, players can enjoy getting people to their destinations in a high-rise and stylized building. Set to a tailored soundtrack, Going Up immerses players in its beautifully simple gameplay of bringing elevators to residents. The game’s official description reads:

“Deliver passengers as fast as possible before they lose their patience. Optimize elevator movement as you deal with a fussy cast of passengers — impatient CEOs, mean soldiers and confused tourists. There is no one solution to elevator optimization: Every stage will have its unique bottlenecks, passengers and problems.”

While levels increase in difficulty as the game progresses, the elevator-based game is more than forgiving. Players may lose a point or two if they fall behind, but the puzzle of getting everyone where they need to go continues no matter what, much like real-life VT work. The serene puzzle game boasts accessibility and a calming nature that, when combined, result in an impressive elevator mobile game. Easy enough for anyone to jump into and captivating enough to keep players coming back, Going Up uses elevators as a way to unwind.

Going Up can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
