He’s an “Elevator Man”

The vertical-transportation (VT) industry inspires more than just technical innovation. One member of the industry is taking elevators to new heights — creatively, that is. Managing Director at LEVEL ELEVATORS and a science-fiction author who brought readers a thrilling tale involving “one elevator and one huge secret,” Richard Debenham recently released elevator music that people will want to listen to inside and outside of the cab. The author of Counterweight Maneuver has taken on a new creative endeavor. Debenham has been making music as part of a group called BOIZ NOIZ, giving him a chance to write about elevators in a new, funky way. “Elevator Man” by BOIZ NOIZ, written by Debenham, is a good, old-fashioned dance song that uses VT in more ways than one. Lyrics like “I’ve got a boogie woogie lady waiting for me on floor number nine (you push my buttons)” are set to an upbeat melody that will have elevator enthusiasts hooked. Check out the dance tune here.
