20-Story Luxury Hotel Planned Near Osaka Castle in Japan

Capella Hotel Group plans to open the second hotel worldwide under the Patina Hotels & Resorts brand near Osaka Castle in Osaka, Japan, by 2025, Japan Property Central reports. Following the first Patina Hotel in Maldives southwest of Sri Lanka and India, the 20-story, 102-m-tall Patina Osaka will have 220 rooms. Guests will check in through a sky lobby overlooking Naniwa-no-miya Park and Osaka Castle. The developer is NTT Urban Development Corp. Construction on the former site of the NTT West Japan head office is slated to start in January 2023.
