Structural work on a new 33-story tower in Chicago’s Fulton River District has passed the fourth floor, Chicago YIMBY reports. Known as “Cassidy on Canal,” the development is located on 344 North Canal Street and will feature 343 apartments, with ground-floor retail space. When complete, the tower will stand 375 ft tall. Vertical-transportation (VT) equipment is provided by KONE and consists of five elevators, four serving the tower landings and one serving the 123-space parking garage. Designed by Soloman Cordwell Buenz, the US$139 million project is a collaboration between The Habitat Company and Diversified Real Estate Capital LLC. According to general contractor McHugh Construction, work is expected to wrap up in 2024.
