AKE, Del Bo Provide 12 Escalators for Naples Underground Metro

AKE Aufzüge & Fahrtreppen, headquartered in Baesweiler, Germany, and the Naples office of Italy’s Ascensori Del Bo are partnering to provide 12 escalators to the Naples underground metro system. Scheduled for completion by the end of 2023, the project includes three AKE heavy-duty Model T units with a rise of more than 25 m. Designed for challenging public-transit applications, Model T has been supplied to public-transit systems in Istanbul, Ankara, and İzmir, Türkiye, and “is now on its way to conquering the European public-transit sector,” AKE Europe Managing Director Norman Rosnersky said.
