Alimak Group, the Stockholm-headquartered provider of vertical-access solutions including rack-and-pinion elevators, has partnered with Engineers Without Borders Sweden (EWBS), a volunteer organization focused on sustainability and helping people in need, Alimak announced in December. With engineering expertise from industry and academia, EWBS is active in Sweden and internationally in solving engineering challenges related to inequality and global development. It aims to address challenges linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. For its part, Alimak plans to reduce the company’s carbon footprint by 30% by 2025 with a framework based on sustainable relationships, solutions and operations.
