Arkel India To Build Manufacturing Facility in Gujarat

Arkel Electronic India Pvt. Ltd. (Arkel India), a subsidiary of Arkel Elektrik Elektronik San Ve Tic A.S. of Türkiye, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Gujarat to set up a new manufacturing facility for integrated elevator drives and monolock lift control units. Arkel and government officials signed the document during the 20th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in Gandhinagar on January 10-12. Arkel’s investment of approximately Rs 100 crore (US$12 million) will see manufacturing commence in the last quarter of this year at a facility in Gujarat Industrial Development Corp.’s Savli Manjusar area in Vadodara. Arkel Electronic India was established in 2018 at Vadodara, following establishment of the Istanbul parent company in 1998. Arkel is a leader in R&D and engineering for variable-voltage, variable-frequency drives; control panels; lift controller cards; emergency rescue systems; and integrated lift control units.
