Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based Axxiom Elevator, a provider of elevator maintenance, repair and modernization services, recently completed an investment in Arizona Elevator Services (AES), the largest independent elevator service provider in Arizona and a leader in the Phoenix market, Maven Group — financial advisor to AES — announced on November 6. AES will continue to operate under the same name, staff and founders/Co-Presidents Scott Brough and Chris Mezosi. Axxiom’s investment in AES was completed with financial backing from Gauge Capital. Ropes & Grey served as Axxiom’s and Gauge Capital’s legal counsel on the transaction, and Polsinelli PC served as legal counsel to AES. The deal was praised by both sides, with Brough stating that “being part of this organization is exciting and has nothing but upsides for our customers and employees going forward.”
