After an arduous process that included a seemingly endless list of special approvals and more than 1,900 blueprints, a building permit has been issued for Riviera Tower, which will be the tallest building in Greece at approximately 200 m, in reports. Part of The Ellinikon urban redevelopment project in Athens, Riviera Tower was designed by Foster + Partners in collaboration with Alexandros N. Tombazis SA and is being developed by Lamda Development. London-based Buro Happold worked with local partners to prepare electromechanical studies. Entities that had to sign off on the project included the Civil Aviation Service, the Central Council of Architecture and the Fire Brigade Headquarters. Lamda CEO Osysseas Athanasiou thanked all involved and said Riviera Tower “is another important step toward the rapid completion of the first phase of Ellinikon.”
