Chicago Public Schools Reports $20K-Plus to Schindler in 2021

Schindler did US$20,456 worth of work for Chicago Public Schools in 2021, according to the Department of Procurement within Chicago Public Schools, Chicago City Wire reports. In 2020, this amount was US$4,896. The total amount for all contracts, elevators and otherwise, awarded in 2021 was US$1,131,621,997. Of the 2,803 companies hired in 2021, 1,443 of them were from Chicago. There were 663 suppliers not from Chicago located in Illinois, with 697 suppliers based elsewhere. There were roughly 341,000 students enrolled in Chicago Public Schools for the 2020-2021 school year across 638 schools and facilities.
