Cibes Lift Group Acquires Bella Elevator

(l-r) Rick Crane and Per Lidström

Cibes Lift Group, headquartered in Gävle, Sweden, will strengthen its U.S. presence with the planned acquisition of Bella Elevator, LLC, manufacturer of Symmetry Elevating Solutions. The deal is set to close in the second quarter. Headquartered in Peoria, Illinois, with manufacturing facilities in Peoria and Roanoke, Virginia, Bella and Symmetry offer a range of home elevators, platform lifts, and limited-use/limited-application elevators through a network of more than 80 distribution partners in the U.S. and Canada. Cibes CEO Per Lidström said the acquisition will give Bella distributors and customers access to the Cibes product portfolio “and commercial excellence expertise and infrastructure.” Founded in 2009 with 132 employees, Bella acquired Symmetry — its official brand — in 2016. The company produces approximately 2,500 lifts annually. Although Cibes now has full ownership of both Bella and Symmetry, the company has retained its name and brand. Bella President Rick Crane is now also Cibes vice president of Sales, Americas.
