Clarkson + Varick Names Kirles Girgis Director of Engineering

National vertical-transportation consultancy Clarkson + Varick recently named Kirles Girgis director of engineering. With more than 10 years’ experience in national leadership roles at Schindler and consulting firm Lerch Bates, Girgis will be leading Clarkson + Varick’s team of engineers and architects nationwide. Girgis’ career includes nearly nine years with Schindler, during which he held roles including new installation specialist and project manager — overseeing International Union of Elevator Constructors Local 1 members as they installed 14 elevators for the expansion of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in mechanical engineering, as well as Professional Engineer certification from the State of New York. Girgis is based at Clarkson + Varick’s NYC headquarters.
