CTBUH Announces Additional Award of Excellence Winners

Since announcing an initial round of 2022 Best Tall Building Award of Excellence winners in various building height and other categories, the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat has revealed additional winners in the Construction, Façade Engineering, Structural Engineering, Urban Habitat-Single Site and Urban Habitat-District/Master Plan categories. The majority of tall buildings to receive an Award of Excellence in this batch were from China (seven), followed by North America (four). The latest winners are: Construction: Qingdao Hai Tian Center, Qingdao, China; Sydney Greenland Centre, Sydney, Australia; and Ten Degrees Croydon, London; Façade Engineering: Arlozorov, Tel Aviv; and Gioia 22, Milan; Structural Engineering: 30 Hudson Yards, NYC; Hangzhou GT Land Jumeirah, Hangzhou, China; Ministry of Taxes, Baku, Azerbaijan; Qingdao Hai Tian Center, Qingdao, China; Rainier Square, Seattle; Telus Sky, Calgary, Canada; and Ten Degrees Croydon, London; Urban Habitat-Single Site: “The Star of Daxing” Headquarters of China Construction Award Third Engineering Bureau, Beijing, China; and Oōeli, Hangzhou, China; Urban Habitat-Master Plan: King Portland Centre & Kingly Condos, Toronto; One Excellence, Shenzhen, China; and Prahran Square, Melbourne, Australia. These towers, along with the ones previously receiving Awards of Excellence, will now go on to compete in the next stage of the awards program, in which the owners/developers and design/engineering teams compete for “Best in Category” distinctions during the 2022 CTBUH International Conference in Chicago on November 9-12.
