CTBUH Global Walking Tour To Kick Off in NYC

The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) will kick off its 12th annual Global Walking Tour, From the Ground Up, on September 4 in NYC’s West Village. Hosted by the NYC chapter of CTBUH, the tour starts at 4 p.m. and will include some of Manhattan’s most distinctive projects: Little Island, a new public park on an artificial island; 837 Washington, which repurposes a 1930s structure into unique office space; 160 Leroy, a curving tower housing luxury condominiums; 80 Clarkson, a two-tower structure along the Hudson River that will have a Schindler elevator system; 100 Vandam, a new, sustainable residential project; 7 Hudson Square, Disney’s new 22-story headquarters; 565 Broome, a 30-story luxury condominium tower; and 10 Sullivan, a triangular, 160-story residential building. Since 2014, CTBUH says its Global Walking Tour has “brought together urban enthusiasts worldwide to experience cities through the lends of architecture, tall buildings and urban design.” There are 11 cities participating in the 2025 edition of the tour.
