Developer Aria Property Group has resubmitted its proposal to the City Council for a foliage-covered, 30-story residential tower at 88 Merivale Street in Brisbane, Australia, after being initially approved for a 20-story tower in 2021, Urban.com.au reports. Designed by Koichi Takada Architects, the structure is described as an “urban forest” with more than 827 trees and 27,000 plants gracing its façade. The property would house 321 apartments of various sizes and a full rooftop amenity area. Aria Development Director Michael Hurley said the project is a “model for sustainable living, hoping to place Brisbane on the global stage alongside cities like Singapore.”
